Housing Caretaker (C-333)

The Housing Caretaker Passbook® prepares you for your test by allowing you to take practice exams in the subjects you need to study. It provides hundreds of questions and answers in the areas that will likely be covered on your upcoming exam, including but not limited to: under direct supervision, maintaining the grounds, buildings and public spaces of public housing projects in proper condition; sweeping and moping public building spaces, basement areas and stair-halls; removing snow and incumbrances; spreading sand and salt over icy pavements; washing windows and walls of public spaces; lighting and cleaning incinerators; servicing air pollution and compactor equipment; collecting garbage; putting out garbage containers containing incinerated, compacted or raw garbage; taking in garbage cans; cleaning ramps, drains, roofs and canopies; polishing and waxing as required; changing light bulbs including those in lamp posts; moving, lifting and carrying heavy objects and materials; checking for elevator outages; reporting all housing violations, emergencies and acts of vandalism; cleaning grounds; cleaning vacant apartments as required; performing general gardening work, including cutting lawns, trimming hedges, transplanting, reseeding, and spreading fertilizer and topsoil; and more.
